About
Life can be messy.
And complicated.
It doesn’t always go the way we hope or anticipate. Stress accumulates. Our old ways of dealing aren’t quite as effective as they used to be.
Engaging in therapy allows you to have a safe space to come and
tune out the clamor of the world
and tune into you…
like, what’s really going on with you.
I know. That can sound scary. Many times, when we’re hurting or stressed out or overwhelmed, we want to run with all our might away from ourselves or what’s really troubling us. We look for quick relief or attempt to stuff it down or shake it off and pretend “I’m fine.”
It’s okay. This is our human tendency.
But Relief,
Healing,
Lasting Change
come through talking it out with someone skilled at helping people walk through and make sense of the difficulties they’re experiencing. And be assured, we’ll work at a pace that works for you. Some people are ready to jump right in and get moving on it. Others need to take a little more gradual approach. But, almost always, the process becomes
A sacred unfolding.
And you become freer
more clear
more the YOU God designed you to be.
About Me
As one who has and continues to experience the transforming power of God’s love and grace, I find it a great honor to be a part of His healing work in the lives of others. He is a God of HOPE! My life mission is to be an ambassador of His message of reconciliation.
My education includes a bachelor’s degree in English/Spanish/Secondary Education from a liberal arts college in Kansas where I played collegiate volleyball and a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.
I gained experience with at-risk teens and families through a community counseling agency in Fort Myers, FL, for four years while also having a part-time private practice. I then established my full-time private practice in 2005 in SWFL where I worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Upon marrying my husband in 2012, I moved to the western suburbs of Chicago where I practiced in a large Christian group practice for the next six years. In 2018, God led us to Bucks County, PA, and there I opened Fresh Hope Therapy where I saw clients full-time in my own private practice. In February, 2022, we sensed God’s leading and provision here in Murfreesboro and have been thrilled to call Tennessee home since!
Throughout the years, I’ve pursued ongoing education and training in treating anxiety, mood disorders, grief/loss, trauma, and relationship issues. I hold licenses in professional counseling in Tennessee (LPC-MHSP), Pennsylvania (LPC), and Illinois (LCPC).
Outside of my work, I love spending time with my husband and four young adult step-kids and spouses, as well as investing in friends, church, and our community. I like to smash it up on the tennis court (or like to think I can!) and also enjoy exploring the outdoors through hiking, biking and travel. I’m into college football, dark chocolate, and morning coffee with Jesus. And I aspire to keep learning and growing till the day I go Home.
